Ten wine labels from five unique Greek wineries will participate at the “A Taste of Greece” event from October 15 to November 15.
But what exactly is “A Taste of Greece”?
“A Taste of Greece” is another opportunity to bring Greek wines closer to the Swedish consumers…. One more reason for the Swedish wine lovers to get familiar with unique Greek varieties such as Vlahiko, Debina, Mavrotragano and more….
And also a further excuse to deliver high quality wines to country and its people that for years have been amongst the top summer visitors in Greece.
For this special event we’ve selected and have been selected by five of the Top restaurants across Stockholm, and especially restaurants with a deep wine culture and unique gastronomic concepts that welcome and entertain a wide range of customers.
The 5 selected restaurants & bistros:
100 km West of Stockholm in Västerås, Bistro Vinoteket is hosted in a former residential building for officers. They serve bistro dishes as well as Brooklyn-style pizza. The wine-list includes wines from 52 countries – many of them by the glass.

HUSET UNDER BRON
When leaving Södermalm towards the South, look under the bridge: you will find Växthuset. The menu focuses on vegan cuisine and biodynamic wines and beverages. The premises host a variety of cultural events that contribute to Stockholm being the vibrant place that it is.

The very Western tip of Södermalm island reveals a small island where a former spirit distillery is now a welcoming hostel for the musically-friendly. The menu offers a blend of food-truck and French food. Andil and Kaspar, musicians and circus performers, have instilled an atmosphere that take you far, far away from the city.

In the heart of Vasastan, Combo is a restaurant with a warm atmosphere and a very friendly team. Menu is mostly classic dishes. Wine list often changes, offering customers a rolling variety of quality wines.

Djurgården is a large, green area in the heart of Stockholm that hosts the ethnographic museum. This is where we find Matmekka “Mecca of food”, a casual place that lets in the sunlight. Dishes have a strong Asian influence, prepared by Carola Magnusson and her wonderful cooks- all masters in spice.
